Places of Worship Shri S.S Jain Bhawan ,Baradai Trust Phone: 3266151, 2965493 Description: Situated on the Main Road itself, the Mahavir Bhawan is one of Delhi oldest Sthanak i.e worship places for the Swetambar Jains This bhawan was built in the year 1910 managed by the Shri S.S Jain Bhawan ,Baradai Trust. This Trust runs schools, a library and a spacious Dharamshala i.e rest house, the best in Old Delhi. It also runs various programs to help the poor and needy. This building is spread over an area of 9000 sq.ft. and has beautiful white marble stairs The latter has many rare hand-written manuscripts and religious books. This Bhawan is used for holding prayer assemblies held by the Jain munis i.e saints for short stays. The Jain saints adopt the vow of moving from one place to another, preaching the teachings of Lord Mahavira. Shri Jain Swetambar Mandir Naughra Phone: 3270489 Description: The temple has been designed in accordance with the ancient Indian system of architecture called Vastu-kala in Sanskrit. It is believed that this system ensures the spiritual cleansing of the people residing inside or visiting such a building. The beauty of the temple can be mesmerizing when seen for the first time.
