When Dadagurudev's birthday is celebrated, his
disciples arrive in countless numbers on Bhadra Shukla Saptami and Ashtami (Mid September)
at Mehrauli Dadabari to pay their respects by bowing their heads and rekindling their
faith. |
On the first day, a Shobhayatra of Bhagvan Adinath and
Dadagurudev is taken out at six in the morning from Mehrauli to Dadabari with great pomp
and show. The parade includes beautifully decorated elephants and horses marching with a
brass band playing religious tunes. |
Soon
after the Yatra is over, the devotees move towards the supreme and holy replica of Shri
Sidhachal Tirth (Shrine) inside the premises. Thereafter, delicious, pure
vegetarian nutrtious lunch is served to one and all. The food is considered as blessings
of the God. |
At two in the afternoon, after the siesta, it is time to pay obeisance to Bhagvan
Shri Adinath with great fervor. In the evening before the sunsets dinner is
served. |
At 8.30 P.M. the ceremony of moving a lighted lamp is circulated around
the idols, which is known as Aarti. |
Thereafter, a religious musical night is held where the gathering
sings from there heart to please the God.

For children, there is special
entertainment area where they keep themselves busy by playing different games. |
